Adeyemis Brace Powers Dortmund Past Heidenheim

Adeyemi's brace powers Dortmund past Heidenheim

Adeyemi scores twice as Dortmund beat Heidenheim 4-2

Fresh from their impressive 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund returned to Bundesliga action with a hard-fought 4-2 win over Heidenheim on Saturday. German forward Karim Adeyemi was the star of the show for Dortmund, scoring twice to help his side secure all three points.

Adeyemi shines for rampant Dortmund

Adeyemi opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 29th minute, latching onto a pass from Jude Bellingham and firing home from close range. The 21-year-old doubled his tally just before half-time, this time finishing off a flowing team move with a clinical strike.

Dortmund continued to dominate after the break, with Adeyemi completing his hat-trick in the 53rd minute. The German international was denied a fourth goal by the offside flag, but he still played a key role in Dortmund's fourth goal, which was scored by Donyell Malen in the 83rd minute.

Heidenheim pulled two goals back in the closing stages through Tim Kleindienst and Kevin Sessa, but it was not enough to prevent Dortmund from claiming all three points. The win moves Dortmund up to third in the Bundesliga table, one point behind leaders Bayern Munich.

Adeyemi's impressive form continues

Adeyemi's brace against Heidenheim was his second in as many games for Dortmund. The young forward has now scored six goals in his last five appearances for the club, and he is quickly becoming one of their most important players.

Adeyemi's goalscoring exploits have also earned him a place in the Germany squad for the upcoming World Cup. The 21-year-old is expected to play a key role for his country in Qatar, and he will be hoping to continue his impressive form on the international stage.
