Rays To Select Logan Driscoll, Activate Zack Littell
Rays Select Reliever Logan Driscoll
The Tampa Bay Rays have selected the contract of right-handed reliever Logan Driscoll from Triple-A Durham. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Rays designated right-hander Chris Mazza for assignment.
Driscoll, 27, has a 3.18 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 44 strikeouts in 39 1/3 innings pitched for Durham this season. He has held opponents to a .185 batting average and has not allowed a home run in his last 20 appearances.
Rays Activate Right-hander Zack Littell
The Rays also activated right-hander Zack Littell from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Durham. Littell, 26, has been out since April 19 with a right shoulder impingement.
Littell, a former top prospect, has a 5.40 ERA in 16 career appearances for the Rays. He missed the entire 2021 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
